Alex and Ani Choose Chapel View for World HQ

The eco-friendly jewelry and lifestyle brand announced it had chosen Chapel View for its new world headquarters today.

Calling it "the state's best strategic business location," officials from Alex and Ani, a widley-known jewelry and lifestyle brand, today announced they will move their world headquarters to Chapel View.

The company said the centrally located spot, next to major roadways and close to T.F. Green Aiport in Warwick, makes Chapel View an ideal location.

The "sophisticated and stylish mixed-use facility" will be a multi-floor space "featuring a state-of-the-art retail showroom, executive and administrative offices and a gathering suite for meetings and entertainment," the company said in a release.

The selection of Chapel View comes after a year-long search. The company looked at a number of different locations throughout the state and the decision ended up being between Providence and Cranston.

The company will keep its existing 25,000 square-foot factory in Cranston. Space  used there for HQ operations will be converted into expanded customer service and shipping operations.

“We are very excited about our new location and we are thrilled to be staying right here in Cranston where our company has been located since its inception,” said owner and designer Carolyn Rafaelian.

The company said the city was a helpful partner in the process. Though no financial contributions were made, Alex and Ani "hope to set an example of how a company can grow responsibly and how city and state assitance can be in the equation, but should be a second step and not a first."

Alex and Ani bills itself as a "celebrated eco-friendly jewelry and lifestyle brand." The company makes use of recycled materials for its products and packaging. All of its products are designed and manufactured in the greater Providence area. It was recently recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the country by Inc. Magazine.

Chapel View is managed by Carpionato Properties.
