Cranston YMCA Membership now Reciprocates
The Cranston YMCA has joined New England YMCAs in offering reciprocal memberships.
The Cranston YMCA is has joined YMCAs across New England to offer reciprocal membership through a new program, the YMCA announced today.
Starting today, through the "My Y is Every Y" program, members will have unfettered access to Ys in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont at no extra charge.
“Our members count on their local Y here in the Greater Providence area for their health and wellness needs. Now they’ll be able to take advantage of what Ys across New England have to offer. We’re very excited to be able to bring this added benefit to members,” said Karen Leslie, President & CEO of the YMCA of Greater Providence, which includes the Cranston Y. “We look forward to welcoming members from other Ys as we all stand together to strengthen our communities.”
Some restrictions may apply at some YMCAs, so make sure to call ahead for specifics.
The "My Y is Every Y" program was piloted last year in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Its success led to the expansion of the program to six New England states.
“The program was very successful in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, so we’re pleased to be able to expand these benefits to members New England wide,” said Lisa Drouin, Resource Director for YMCA of the USA. “No matter where our members travel in these states, they’ll be able to stay connected to the local community and improve their health and well-being.”
