Holiday Decorations: Is It Time They Come Down?

When do you remove Santa from the front yard: January or July?

Is it time to take down the Christmas decorations?

Some families traditionally take down their holiday decorations on New Year's Day, while others wait until much later in the month and much, much later, too.

When do you think Christmas decorations should be taken down? After New Year's Day? February? July?

The easiest way is to not put any up at all.

We kept it simple this year and just put up a wreath. What's nice is that when we're done with it, I throw it on the compost pile.

Anyone remember from YEARS ago, the radio station that played the joke on people who kept up their decorations into February and beyond?
They said they were from the "D.O.O.D" department of outdating decorations. The DJ's had neighbors call into the station to get the decorations taken down.
