The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island recently granted 14-year-old Michael Gay, a Cranston resident, a trip to italy. Gay is diagnosed with Fabry's Disease.

Michael Gay has dreamed of visting Italy since he was a young child.

That dream is coming true thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which granted Gay the opportunity to travel to the European country to visit aincent ruins and monuments and taste authentic Italian food.

Gay, who is diagnosed with Fabry's Disease, a rare disease caused by the lack of or a faulty enzyme needed to metabolize lipids, attended a send-off party at Antonio's Restaurant on Thayer Street in Providence with his family recently. There, he learned how to make homemade thin crust pizza.
