Oversize Load will Roll Through Cranston Tonight
Be on the lookout for an oversize load making its way from Providence to Interstate 295 tonight. It will spend some of its time on Cranston streets.
An oversized load consisting of wind turbine parts will likely cause slowdowns in Cranston tonight.
Starting around 9 p.m., a convoy heading towards Boston will depart Terminal Road in Providence and head towards Interstate 295 using Cranston streets.
After leaving Terminal Road, the truck will turn left on Route 1A (Narragansett Boulevard).
It will then turn right onto Route 12 (Park Avenue) and proceed to Gansett Avenue.
It will then turn right on Gansett Ave., left onto Cranston St. and proceed to Dyer Ave., where it will turn left, then right onto Route 12 again and continue to Route 5.
It will continue towards Route 6A and then continue on to 295.
The total trip could take about two hours.
