ENDANGERMENT
Police charged a 24-year-old Cranston woman with child endangerment and disorderly conduct and a four-month-old baby was placed in the custody of the Department of Children, Youth and Families Dec. 18 after she reportedly left her baby in her apartment to walk to Rite Aid and got into a fight with the baby’s father on Cranston Street.
According to police, officers were dispatched to the area near Cranston Street and Webster Avenue around 12:35 p.m. on a report of a disturbance between two people.
Police found Rouba Z. Khouri, of 499 Farmington Avenue, and Adam Rudacevsky, 33, of 118 Chestnut Ave., Cranston, outside on the street screaming at each other. Rudacevsky was barefoot and the bottom of his pants were wet, police said. He also appeared to be under the influence of some type of drug, speaking incoherently and rambling.

Khouri told police that she was walking to Rite Aid to buy a drug test when Rudacevsky ran up to her and began arguing. She never ended up buying the drug test and told officers she needed to go home because her daughter was alone at her house.
Khouri was taken into custody based on the observations of an officer who saw her fighting with Rudacevsky, who was also taken into custody for violating a no-contact order.

Police notified DCYF and went to the Farmington Avenue residence to check on the infant’s well being. Police said the apartment was “in complete disarray.” There was no milk in the refrigerator, the kitchen floor was filthy and there was clothes and trash strewn about the living room.
The infant was taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital for an evaluation.
Khouri was carrying $1,945 in cash at the time of her arrest, police reported.
SHOPLIFTING
Cranston Police charged Ismael Ortiz Rodriguez, 46, of 102 Linwood Ave., Cranston, with shoplifting Dec. 18 at 4:42 p.m. Police said Rodriguez attempted to steal three cans of baby formula from the Warwick Avenue Stop and Shop.
Cranston Police charged Robert Dorazio, 30, of 18 East St., Providence, with shoplifting and simple assault Dec. 20 for stealing 13 miscellaneous health and beauty items from Ride Aid on Pontiac Avenue and pushing a female store clerk to the ground as he escaped.
Morazio was found hiding under a deck at a house on Blackamore Street. Officers reported Morazio said “I’m stupid,” “I’m sorry,” as he was being arrested.
Police charged Eric Garcia, 21, of 15 Whelan Road, Providence, with shoplifting and obstruction of justice Dec. 16 at 3:45 p.m. Police said Garcia stole 20 video games and a fleece from the Garfield Avenue K-Mart and tried to leave the store without paying. Garcia reportedly committed the crime accompanied with his one-year-old child.
DISORDERLY
Police charged a 25-year-old Dartmouth, Mass. man with disorderly conduct Dec. 18 at 12:25 a.m. after he allegedly tried to fight police officers outside Mardi Gras nightclub. Police said Christopher J. Mello was kicked out of the club and was yelling profanities and gave police the middle finger once outside.
Police said they attempted to calm Mello, but he yelled profanities and repeatedly kicked officers who were trying to restrain him.
Once inside a police cruiser, police said Mello kicked the windows and told the officer that he would fight him once at the police station.
Along with the disorderly conduct charge, police charged Mello with simple assault and resisting arrest.
SUSPICIOUS
Police charged Adam David Marrocco, 27, of 1340 Cranston St., Cranston, with receiving stolen goods and obstruction of justice Dec. 18 after a resident saw him walking in a yard on Juniper Drive wearing a hooded sweatshirt and carrying a flashlight.
Police said Marrocco claimed he had found a window screen lying in a yard and was taking it home. He promised to lead officers to the house where he found the screen and took then to 30 Juniper Drive. Officers saw no evidence that any screen was missing, but an officer investigating the incident noticed a screen missing from the house at 10 Juniper Drive and the remaining screen was a perfect match to the one Marrocco claimed he was taking home.
At 10 Juniper Drive, the homeowner checked his garage and truck alongside police and determined that thousands worth of tools were missing including a Stihl demo saw worth $900, a chain saw, hammer drill and Sawsall.
DOMESTIC DISORDERLY
Police charged Andrew Jett, 31, of 30 Pendleton St., Cranston, with domestic disorderly conduct for allegedly throwing a thermostat during an argument with his stepmother on Dec. 19.
Police said Jett told police in a written statement that he threw the thermostat during an argument about the heat.
