RIDOC Hires new Inspector

Department of Corrections Director A.T. Wall announced the appointment of Roy Wells of Warwick as Inspector.

Corrections Director Ashbel T. Wall II has announced the appointment of Roy Wells of Warwick, R.I., as Inspector in the Rhode Island Department of Corrections’ Office of Inspections.      

Wells has been a member of the Providence Police Department for 25 years, the last eight as a detective in the agency’s Internal Affairs Unit. He has participated in a number of specialized training opportunities and has particular expertise in video forensics and computer examinations. He holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Roger Williams University.

 “Senior members of the Providence Police Department, individuals with whom I have worked closely over the years and whose judgment I respect, give Roy the highest recommendation, not only for his investigative and excellent interpersonal skills, but also for his character and integrity,” said Director Wall in his announcement about Wells’ hiring.
