Sex Offender Wanted for Failing to Register Address Change

Michael Holloway, 35, is wanted by Cranston Police, for failing to register a new address after being evicted from his previous residence in August.

Cranston Police are looking for a 35-year-old level 2 sex offender who was evicted from his residence in August and hasn't registered a new address with police.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for Michael Holloway on Jan. 10. His current whereabouts are unknown.

If you have any information about Holloway's whereabouts, call Cranston Police at 401-942-2211. Det. Pete Podedworny is investigating.

Police said they learned that Holloway had been evicted from his previous residence on Laural Hill Avenue during a recent sexual offender compliance check.

Holloway stands at about six feet and two inches and weighs about 160 pounds.

You give drunk drivers and drug dealers suspended sentences after suspended sentences, hundreths of sex offenders are released on personal recognizance, illegal immigrants are given work permits, drivers licenses, college educations, but make a mistake on your 1040...........

All of John's comments are what I have always thought too!

It's our Legislators. 94% of them are re-elected and we seem to keep doing what we have always done. (excluding those that are outraged like us). Since we all like to blog, I hope you also take the extra minute to EMAIL your legislators. Those that voted in Good Times - Disgust me!

Suzanna,
In my opinon our police, legiislators, governor, are affaid of gettng sued by the ACLU and other civil right groups so they shut their mouths, fly under the radar, get their 30 years in and get out.If you want to start a blog of a 1,000 names to send these sex offenders back to Cuba,my error,to Guantanamo Bay I'll sign.

This is 2013.

How about we slap an ankle monitor on these scum bags and be done with it.

Joe, it is a great idea to put ankle bracelett on those that are high risk, but the cost to have 24 hr. survellience is high to taxpayers. I have read over the years many articles and viewed many hours of interviewing S.O.'s and many say Public Notice is the best practice for keeping them straight. I have mixed feelings on spending so much money on them....my ideas are said to be radical, that I can live with. Here is a great article that talks more about monitoring in a comprehensive manner.

Yes Suzanne, I read several articles regarding the high cost of ankle monitors, but with all the frivolous spending we do on other things, the daily advances in technology associated with gps monitoring, and the considerable cost of prosecuting these animals after they re-commit their sexual offenses, not to mention the anguish caused to their victims, I would be one person willing to bear the cost.
