Brown Research on First Graders’ Beliefs

We are looking for families with a first grader (born between 09/01/2006-08/31/2007, age 6 or 7) who can participate in our research.

We are interested in learning how children develop beliefs related to schooling and learning during the first grade after the initial entry to school.

Due to the design of cross-cultural study between Japan and U.S., we are looking for

  • A child who attends a public school
  • A child with parents who were born in the U.S.
  • A child with parents who are Caucasian

We will interview your child while asking you to fill out a survey. It takes about 30-40 minutes).

Flexible location (your home, Brown University, etc.). $15 will be provided.

For more information or to participate in this research study, please contact us at 401-863-6405 or BrownSchoolStudy@gmail.com
