Crowdfund rebuilding of Central Falls, RI

The citizens of Central Falls needs your help! As many of you know, in August of 2011 Central Falls became the first and only city in the history of Rhode Island and one of only a handful in the country to declare bankruptcy. The bankruptcy process left the city short-staffed and left many municipal projects unfunded. Though the bankruptcy is now over and fiscal conditions are improving, clearly many challenges still face the city.

Here’s the good news: you can help rebuild this community! This morning, the City launched a crowdfunding campaign to clean up the trash at Jenks Park - the centerpiece public park for the town - by installing one-of-a-kind steel trash cans and recycling bins, designed by Providence non-profit The Steel Yard.

You can now donate tax-deductibly to this project at citizinvestor.com/project/clean-up-cf-new-bins-in-jenks-park but your credit card will not be charged unless the project reaches 100% of its funding goal before the funding deadline. Let’s help rebuild this Rhode Island town!
