Funds Available for Active Military

The Rhode Island Association of Realtors Troop Support Task Force has funds available for military personnel with housing related needs.  Those in need of immediate funds up to $500 needed to pay for rent, mortgage, electric, maintenance and repairs, or other housing related needs, should contact the Rhode Island National Guard Family Assistance Center at 401-275-1242/43.  The funds are available for currently serving military in good standing, rank E5 or lower, both active (with a home of record i.n Rhode Island) or Guard and Reserve members of a Rhode Island Military unit.

“We’ve set aside funds to bridge the gap that men and women in uniform may need when they find themselves coming up short. Now, for example, when their checks are delayed after deployment, they can access funds without the excessive interest fees that often accompany many types of loans like payday loans or the long waiting periods that are commonplace with grants,” said Arthur Yatsko, Chair of the Realtor Troop Support Task Force.
