Rhode Island's income inequality has a lot to do with its' appetite for immigrants, legal or not. We have an over-population of lower skilled workers that is fueled by this appetite. With that over-population comes expected behavior. Employers hire cheaper workers and provide fewer benefits and reduce spending on capital improvement. Lower incomes produce a demand for more social services. The cycle continues. I believe that we in RI are facing a growing problem with Balkanization fueled by illegal immigration.Let’s help RI’s most needy families find decent work. Tell your Reps (
What to do? E-Verify would reduce the practice of hiring Illegal Immigrants.
This would help both the legal immigrants and the so-called native population.
We need to use common sense and stop the non-sense. Our elected leaders
continually talk about jobs, jobs, jobs. Yet they have bent over backwards to
aid and abet the illegal alien community grow and prosper in Rhode Island. Gina
Raimondo now wants give illegal aliens driver's licenses so they can more
easily get to work. Yes, that would be aiding and abetting illegal aliens.
Perhaps U.S. Attorney Peter Nerohna might be interested? Nah, didn’t think so.
This attitude perpetuates and amplifies our income equality.
