A Leap Snow is On the Way

Thursday's commute could be slippery based on the National Weather Service's forecast of snow on Wednesday night.

The National Weather Service is forecasting snowy and slippery conditions beginning Wednesday afternoon and ending with what could be a messy Thursday morning commute.

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Rhode Island and it will remain in effect until 6 p.m. March 1.

Wednesday's forecast calls for rain and snow likely before 3 p.m., turning to snow later on. Less than an inch of snow is predicted, but rain, snow and sleet expected to arrive before 4 a.m. on Thursday may cause slick roads, making morning commutes difficult.
