Auburn Library to Close for Major Renovations

A new HVAC system at the Auburn Branch of the Cranston Public Library is due to be installed in the coming weeks, necessitating a closure for more than a month, library officials announced recently.

The new system, which is being paid for by voter-approved bond funding through the city, will improve the heating, ventilation and air conditioning at the library.

The closure will last from Dec. 30 to at least Feb. 9 of next year. The branch is expected to reopen to the public on Feb. 10.

For more information, visit www.cranstonlibrary.org or swing by the branch, located at 396 Pontiac Ave., before the Dec. 30 closure date.

And remember, any materials borrowed from the Auburn Branch can be returned to any other library.
