Blankenship Takes the Reins at Oaklawn Branch

The Cranston Public Library announced that Stefanie Blankenship has been appointed branch librarian at the Oaklawn Branch.

Blakenship has been the youth services librarian at the Auburn Branch since 2008.

A graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a master's degree in Library and Information Science, Blankenship will manage daily operations at the Oaklawn Branch and will oversee staff, programming, collection and community partnerships with the Oaklawn neighborhood.

"Stefanie has done an incredible job at Auburn implementing innovative teen programming and impressive accomplishments in community outreach. She will bring the same level of excitement and ideas to the Oaklawn neighborhood", said Library Director Edward Garcia.

Stefanie will officially start in her new position on January 2, 2014. She takes over for Adrienne Gallo who was recently appointed Branch Librarian at the William Hall Library.
