Curbside Christmas Tree Pickup Begins Jan. 6

If you're not the type of family that likes to keep your Christmas tree hanging around until April, it's time to get ready to drag that tree to the curb.

The city will begin picking up trees the week of Jan. 6.

The pickup will last for at least two weeks and will run concurrent to regular trash day and might go into the next day.

Trees must be free of decorations. That means tinsel, garlands, your tree stand and other non-recyclable ornamentation must be removed from the tree.
