Edgewood Eagles' Car Wash to Benefit Great Dane Rescue

It's a chance to get your car nice and clean. It's also an opportunity to lend support for Great Dane Rescue of New England, which is raising money today for an 18-week-old Great Dane puppy that was born with a birth defect.

Note: the car wash was on Sunday. Thanks to all who came out.

The Edgewood Eagles cheerleaders will be washing cars in front of Cranston High School East today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Sunday).

It's a chance to get your car nice and clean. It's also an opportunity to lend support for Great Dane Rescue of New England, which is raising money today for an 18-week-old Great Dane puppy that was born with a birth defect.

The dog ended up paralyzed for a 48-hour period and needed major neck and spine surgery.

The good news is that the dog is doing "fantastic" and "will be at the car wash," said Rachel A. Wilson of Great Dane Rescue of New England.

But "we are now responsible for a very large vet bill and after care bills," wilson said.

Though the car wash is free, donations will be accepted to help Great Dane Rescue of New England.
