Expect Strong, Damaging Winds for Tuesday Into Wednesday

A high wind watch is in effect for Tuesday and Wednesday.

It's going to be quite a breezy Tuesday.

The National Weather Service (NWS) says strong and possibly damaging winds are expected for late Tuesday into early Wednesday morning throughout Rhode Island. 

As a result, a high wind watch is in effect through Wednesday.

South wind gusts could reach 55 mph, according to NWS, with the strongest gusts occurring near the south coast and higher elevations. 

The winds could result in downed tree limbs and possibly downed trees, according to the NWS. Take precautions and make sure you secure any outdoor lawn furniture!
