Gallo Appointed Branch Librarian at Hall Library

The Cranston Public Library announced that Adrienne Gallo, a longtime employee of the Cranston Public Library system, has been appointed Branch Librarian at the William Hall Library.

Adrienne has been with the Cranston Public Library since 1999.  She served as the Youth Services Libarian at William Hall Library from 2000-2001. She has been the Branch Librarian at the Oaklawn branch since 2001. 

Adrienne graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Master's degree in Library and Information Science in 1996  and with a Master's of Art from Emerson College in 1993.

In her new role, Adrienne will manage operations for the William Hall Library. She will oversee staff, programming, collection development and community partnerships at William Hall. The 19,500 square foot William Hall Library opened in 1927 and after the Central Library is the largest of Cranston's six library locations.

"Adrienne has impressive experience running a branch library from her time at Oaklawn. She has a deep understanding of the operations of the Cranston Public Library system and the importance of the William Hall Library to the fabric of the Edgewood neighborhood and Pawtuxet Village.  She will bring her experience, enthusiasm and innovative ideas for youth and adult programming to William Hall Library", said Library Director Edward Garcia.

Adrienne will officially start in her new position on January 2, 2014. She takes over for John Bucci who retires after 30 years at William Hall Library on December 31, 2013.
