Memorial Mass for Newtown Victims Held in Cranston
The Diocese of Providence held a memorial Mass at Immaculate Conception Church on Saturday.
Saturday's 4 p.m. Mass at Immaculate Conception Church was a somber, emotional moment where parishioners turned to God to try to understand and come to terms with the tragedy in Newtown, Conn.
"We cannot allow this evel to destroy us," said Father Ron Brassard. "Christ is our light."
Brassard said parishioners need to pray, love and work to remove violence from our lives.
