Storm Central: Parking Ban Begins at 7 a.m., After School Activities Cancelled

A parking ban began at 7 a.m. Thursday thanks to the impending snowstorm, but Cranston schoolchildren will have to brave the snow this morning. School started as scheduled even as flakes began to fall.

But students can hope for early dismissal. And there are no after school activities.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning that went into effect at around 4 a.m. this morning and it will last until 10 a.m. tomorrow. Upwards of 10- to 12-inches of snow is possible before the storm ends.
