PHOTOS: Councilman-Elect Spreads Holiday Cheer

Don Botts took some time to deliver Christmas meals to seniors over the holiday break.

Every year, Cranston schoolchildren decorate paper bags that are filled with Christmas dinners and fill a room at the Cranston Senior Center.

The bags are distributed to seniors living throughout the city who might have trouble getting to the store to cook a holiday meal. Or they might be widowed, alone, or otherwise could use the gesture.

Among the volunteers who fanned out to distribute the bags this year were Councilman-elect Don Botts and Antonio Barros, a Cranston resident.
