Members of the Cranston Fire Department responded to a fire at the Veterans Memorial Ice Rink complex off Phenix Avenue this afternoon.
Though the main rink is fine, the bubble rink is deflated and firefighters are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
Cranston Fire Chief William McKenna said firefighters quickly got the blaze, which started inside the bubble rink, under control.
"It appears we overwhelmed the system and the rink deflated," McKenna said.
Nobody was hurt in the fire but the chief said he isn't 100 percent certain nobody was inside at the time of the fire.
The investigation has just begun.
