Members of the Cranston Fire Department responded to a fire in building J at Riverbend Apartments on Dyer Avenue shortly after 11 am Tuesday
It is still an active scene at this hour as crews work to put out hotspots.
The view from the ground suggests the fire affected at least two apartments. Damage appears heavy.
