BankRI Promotes Cranston Woman to Branch Manager

BankRI announced today that Shelly Torigian, a Cranston resident, was recently promoted to branch manager at its Atwood Avenue branch.

The next time you see Shelly Torigian at the supermarket or the gas station, be sure to say "congrats."

Bank Rhode Island  announced today that it  promoted Torigian to the position of branch manager at its . 

According to a press release, Torigian, as branch manager, is responsible for "developing new business, creating a customer friendly atmosphere for all patrons and promoting the highest level of customer service among Atwood Avenue branch employees."

"Throughout Shelly’s tenure with BankRI, she has displayed excellence in customer service, and understands how to accommodate and serve our customers,” said Steve Parente, BankRI senior vice president and director of retail banking. “Shelly has been an asset at Atwood Avenue, and we are excited to see what she will continue to contribute in her new role.”
 
Before being promoted branch manager, Torigian was the assistant manager at the Atwood Avenue branch. She joined BankRI in 2001. Before that, she was a Fleet Bank customer service representative.
