Cranston Customers Impacted by Cox Widespread Email Outage

Cox Communication customers in Cranston and throughout Rhode Island report they are impacted by the large email outage

Cox Communications has reported outages with their email system that impact customers in the Midwest and East Coast regions.  Cranston customers report they have been impacted as part of the widespread issue.

On Twitter, Kate Burt ‏(@KateKhronicles) called the outage "exasperating"

She said a similar situation happened a few years ago and after her account was restored, she found all her emails and folders were lost.  Burt said she is done with Cox.

Dawn Giarrusso said on Twitter that her e-mail has been out in Cranston since Friday afternoon.

The company said it is unable to provide an estimated time for recovery, but will work around the clock until service is restored.

Have you been impacted? Let us know in the comments!

Perhaps we can hear from someone at Cox about this outage and why they make it a regular practive to subsidize new accounts on the backs of loyal customers through entry level rates and failing to reduce rates for existing clients in line with rates given to new clients By the way, I don't want to hear that I can get a better deal by coming to the office. I would like to know why you don't just provide the best price possible to customers that have been with you for 20 and more years!

I am not impacted by the outage, at all. After the last rate increase, a few years ago, i now have FIOS and love all the extra channels I get on fiber. Unfortunately, my email works too good as the spam keeps coming through(in the bulk email folder).
