Cranston's Ross-Simons Celebrates 60 Years

The iconic Rhode Island jewelry company celebrated its 60th anniversary this morning at its Cranston headquarters.

“The 60th anniversary of Ross-Simons is a family celebration,” Darrell Ross, company president and CEO, said in a statement. “Our family worked tirelessly to build a successful jewelry franchise. And from our humble beginnings on Westminster Street in downtown Providence, we conceived of a pricing and service model that we still use today.”

“With local renown, we turned our energies towards revolutionizing how jewelry could be sold beyond Rhode Island without a storefront,” added Ross.

Ross-Simons began in 1952 as a single store. It now operates 14 stores in eight states.

“Like us, our generations of customers have celebrated many firsts over the years.
