Before Monday's Opening, New Qdoba to Support CCAP, West Track Team

Qdoba Mexican Grill will be opening its first Rhode Island location in Chapel View and has chosen CCAP as their non-profit partner.

Qdoba Mexican Grill is opening on Monday in Chapel View, but from 4 to 9 p.m., tonight (Thursday) 100 percent of all in-store purchases will be donated to Comprehensive Community Action — a Cranston-based nonprofit that serves more than 21,000 Rhode Islanders who need help in some aspect of life.

And on Friday, the same arrangement is in place with proceeds to support the Cranston High School West track team from 5 to 7 p.m.

The best part of the deal is that you don't need a coupon or say anything. Just go and know 100 percent of your purchase will help a local organization that promotes personal and financial self-sufficiency. Or, it will go to help support a local sports team that could use a community boost as well.

The grand opening of the restaurant, located at 4000 Chapel View Blvd., begins next week.

The grand opening festivities at Qdoba will begin with a community night where guests with a Qdoba Rewards Card, or guests who register at the new restaurant, will receive a free entrée and drink. The celebration continues on Saturday, May 31 with QdobaFest. To start the all-day festival, the first 100 customers in line will each receive a branded Qdoba Burrito Bankroll wallet containing mystery prizes ranging from $500 to Qdoba Rewards Cards preloaded with products such as free entrées or Free Burritos for a Year (one free entrée a week for 52 weeks). Wallet prizes total more than $2,500.

All of Qdoba’s meals are handmade in front of guests and topped with personally selected fresh ingredients, including one of five distinctive salsas. Guests can choose from some of Qdoba’s signature flavors.

For occasions outside the restaurant that call for Mexican fare, like graduations, Memorial Day or Father’s Day parties, Qdoba offers catering, with buffet style Taco, Nacho and Naked Burrito bars.
