Stop and Shop's New Warwick Ave. Store Opens
The new Stop and Shop at 275 Warwick Avenue opened for business this week.
Cranston Mayor Allan W. Fung was on hand to mark the grand opening celebration of the new Stop and Shop at 275 Warwick Avenue.
The 49,000 square foot store will bring the city much needed tax revenue along with the potential for increased traffic, boosting nearby businesses. But many residents in the area are unhappy after their battle against the plan and the changes to city zoning laws made to make the store's exisistence possible.
