Walmart Pushes Back Black Friday Opening In RI

The retail giant has already released its Black Friday sale circular online.

Shoppers in Rhode Island and Massachusetts will have to wait until after Thanksgiving to take advantage of Black Friday sales at retail giant Walmart.

While Walmart locations across the rest of the country will open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, Massachusetts and Rhode Island’s Blue Laws prohibit the store to open that early in those two states. Instead, Walmart will open at 1 a.m., which is also the time many other retailers, including Target, plan to open for business on Black Friday.

Shoppers don’t have to wait until Thanksgiving to find out about the Black Friday sales at Walmart. The company already has released its circular for the sale.

For a store to tell their employees to work on a family Thanksgiving is just plain wrong. Until people stand up <as it was done at the last election> corporations will bully the people. I will not shop there due to these facts. Well I don't shop there anyway due to their poor labor laws and poor quality of products. They have driven the small business away and out of business. No wonder China makes billions of dollars.

That's fine. Some people need to work on holidays no matter what the holiday and they look forward to the time and a half pay. Walmart is the modern 5 and dime store and that is where I purchase a lot of things. Why would I want to spend more than I have to?

Robert what time and a half pay? Walmart doesn't even give full time hours in fact most stores are cutting their associates hour for the holidays. Therefor workers can't even get their 40 hours let alone extra time and a half.

Here comes the bath salt zombies, foaming at the mouth! Too bad 99% of them are too stupid to realize a majority of the deals aren't even priced cheaper than other sales.
