What Should be Done with the Old Bickfords?

The former Bickfords at 860 Reservoir Ave. has sat idle for years.

And its current state — empty and surrounded by overgrown weeds — is increasingly an eyesore.

What would you like to see at the location?

The property is owned by Alan H. Cicchitelli, of Johnston, who paid $900,000 for it in 2008.

The 4,709 square-foot building could be almost anything — with a little renovation.

But what does Cranston need to supplement its business community? Another restaurant? A gift shop? Keep in mind the lot is 34,725 square feet, so that rules out a Target or other big box store.
