Watch for Slick Spots this Morning

Go easy on that gas pedal this morning. 

Roads could be slick and icy thanks to the dusting of snow Cranston got last night.

The city was spared major snowfall during the winter storm that passed through New England. Consider that Worcester, Mass. got six-and-a-half inches of snow and we got mostly rain and less than an inch of snow, which fell at the very end of the storm.

Today's high will be around 40 degrees and it should be mostly sunny, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service issued a Special Weather Statement for the area, warning of slippery conditions on untreated roads. Temperatures fell just below freezing across most locations early this morning.
