Fung Hires Fla. Campaign Consultant

Cranston Mayor Allan Fung recently announced another addition to his gubernatorial campaign. He brings on Majority Strategies as the campaigns direct mail consultant.

In the past decade, Majority Strategies has produced nearly one billion pieces of political mail for more than 1,000 campaigns in all 50 states. Majority Strategies is widely regarded as the leading GOP direct mail firm in the country by the Republican leaders and political operatives that make such decisions.

According to a campaign release, "they have written and designed voter contact mail for successful candidates running for every imaginable office from school board up to President of the United States, as well as mail for a wide variety of ballot initiatives and referendum campaigns."

Majority Strategies has worked for several successful candidates for governor, including Tim Pawlenty in Minnesota, Brian Sandoval in Nevada, Rick Scott in Florida, Don Carcieri in Rhode Island, George Pataki in New York, Matt Meade in Wyoming, Mitch Daniels in Indiana, Sam Brownback in Kansas and Bobby Jindal in Louisiana.

The Republican National Committee has used their firm to handle voter contact mail in countless states in every election cycle since 2000, including the presidential campaigns of Bush and McCain. The RNC has also commissioned their firm to interpret and use its microtargeting data – an effort that combines individual voter information with consumer information to better target voters based on their ideology and voting propensity.

GOP State Party Victory Committees in more than a dozen states have used Majority Strategies for persuasion and get-out-the-vote mail – including the battleground states of Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Missouri.

The leading consultant will be James Klein. Jim was born and raised in Cincinnati, and joined the Majority Strategies team in 2006, where he has assisted in writing, producing, and consulting countless local, state, and national candidates across the country with their mail campaigns. James received degrees in Economics and Political Science from Denison University and a Masters in Strategic Public Relations from George Washington University. James and his wife, Liz, reside in Jacksonville, Florida.
