Fung Raises $136,000 Last Quarter

It's Fung's highest fundraising total in any quarter to date.

Cranston Mayor Allan W. Fung -- and a candidate for governor -- announced he has raised $136,000 in the quarter ending June 30.

It's the highest fundraising total in any quarter to date and "caps three months of unparalleled grassroots support for the Fung campaign," the campaign said in a release.

“The last three months have been very exciting for Team Fung, with strong grassroots political and fundraising support and a volunteer force that grows larger every day,” Fung said. “We received personal endorsements from twenty three Republican city and town committee Chairs, committee endorsements from twenty one Republican city and town committees, which is a record for the RI GOP, and most importantly, the endorsement of the Rhode Island Republican Party by an overwhelming margin of nearly 3 to 1. With our first television ads having aired in May and June, I am now working hard to spread my message of government reform, tax reduction, and job creation to all Rhode Islanders, to let them know how the Fung Plan will turn around Rhode Island.”
