Reading in the Hall: "Butcher Boy" by Patrick McCabe

This month, the Hall Library Reading Group will be discussing Patrick McCabe's "The Butcher Boy."

Francie Brady is a troubled young boy from a highly dysfunctional family living almost as a street urchin in a small Irish town. While his world and life continue to spiral downward, he focuses his wrath on the Nugents, who are everything he and his family can never be.

McCabe's tour de force was hailed as descendent of Salinger's work.

This event is free and open to the public. Please call (781-2450) or email (hall@cranstonlibrary.org) to register.

The William Hall Library is handicapped accessible.
