Food, Wine & Flowers for the Food Bank
More than two dozen of Rhode Island’s finest culinary establishments will offer gourmet tastings against the backdrop of the Rhode Island Spring Flower & Garden Show at the “Taste of the Flower Show Preview Party” on Wednesday, February 19, from 6 to 8 pm at the Rhode Island Convention Center. The event, which benefits the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, gives visitors a sneak peak at the Flower Show on the evening before it officially opens to the public.
Tickets for the event cost $75 and can be purchased online at www.rifoodbank.org/FlowerShow or by calling 401-230-1673. Swarovski Jewelers is the signature sponsor of the Taste of the Flower Show Preview Party, with additional support from Marcum Accountants & Advisors, the Robert F. “The Taste of the Flower Show has become a tradition for enthusiasts of food and flowers,” says Food Bank CEO Andrew Schiff. “This is one of those rare moments when you can do something purely enjoyable while making a real difference in the lives of Rhode Islanders who are struggling to take care of their basic needs. This important fundraiser helps us care for the most vulnerable members of our community at a time when the need for food assistance in Rhode Island is at the highest level in the state’s history.”
