Obituary: Alfred Labanca

Alfred Labanca, 88, of Cranston, passed away on Monday October 8, 2012 at Kent Regency in Warwick.

Alfred Labanca, 88, of Cranston, passed away on Monday October 8, 2012 at Kent Regency in Warwick. 

He was the beloved son of the late Anthony and Marion ( Leckenby) LaBanca.

 He was a Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army serving two tours of duty in Germany during WW-II.  Alfred worked at the Armory of Mounted Command, Providence, for many years and retired from Spector Freight, Seekonk, MA.

He was the brother of the late Hazel Draine, John LaBanca, Joseph LaBanca, Anna Archambeault, Robert LaBanca Sr. and Edward LaBanca. He will be lovingly missed by many nieces, nephews and sisters in law.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St. Cranston at 11 a.m.

Visiting hours WEDNESDAY MORNING from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Interment with Military Honors will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
