Obituary: Armando F. Terenzi, 96

Armando F. Terenzi, 96, of Providence, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Bove) Terenzi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Amadeo and Celia (DeAngelis) Terenzi. 

Among Armando’s many talents and achievements including building our family home, he worked for Narragansett Improvement Company for 36 years until his retirement. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 57. He served in the 806th Engineers Aviation Battalion, US Army in the Pacific Theater rising to the rank of Sergeant; World War II. He was also a member of UCT and Holy Ghost Church. He was an amazing man in all respects of the word, and he loved to prepare delicious meals for his family to enjoy. He was happy with just the simple things in life, without all the frills. 

He is survived by his cherished children, Judy Gagne and her husband Ron, and Ronald Terenzi of Bristol, ME; loving grandchildren Leslie Cardarelli and her husband Kevin, and Kimberly DeAngelis and her husband Robert and loving great-grandchildren Rachel DeAngelis, Matthew Cardarelli, and Angelica Cardarelli; dear siblings Joseph Terenzi of Cranston, and Elena Murgo of Bristol, RI. He was also the brother of the late Vincent Terenzi and Florence Scorpio. 

His Funeral arrangements will be private. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
