Chester M. Soares, Sr., 85, of Cranston, passed away July 24, 2013 at Steere House in Providence.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antone L. and Georgianna (Brown) Soares.
He is survived by son, Chester M. Soares, Jr. of White Plains, NY; daughter Renѐe S. Soares of Middletown, CT; former wife Hester J. (Williams) Soares; sister, Dorothy Harvey of Warwick and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the brother of the late Antone L. Soares, Jr., Edith Richardson, Madeline Richardson, and Everett Richardson.

Chester was a lifelong resident of Rhode Island and retiree of B.I.F. As one who loved the outdoors, he was an avid fisherman, known for the wondrous stories of his life adventures.
Memorial service will be held at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday August 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Steere House, 100 Borden Street, Providence, R.I. 02903.
