Obituary: Douglas J. "Dougie" Romano

Douglas J. "Dougie" Romano, 62, of Willow Rd., Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at RI Hospital in Providence.

He was the beloved husband for 40 years of Gloria J. (Ceceri) Romano. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Eva (DiCaprio) Romano.

Dougie was a real estate agent for over 30 years and enjoyed gardening.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Corisa L. Walker and her husband Matthew of Verona, NJ, Jena M. Raucci and her husband Chuck of Santa Monica, CA and Dr. Jonathan J. Romano and his companion Samantha Slack of Cranston; loving poppy of Adelyn and Elenora Walker; and dear brother of Dr. Dennis Romano and his wife Joan and Joseph Romano and his wife Patricia, all of Cranston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Knight St., Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Inurnment will be private.
