Obituary: Elizabeth (Saccoccio) Parrillo, 80

Elizabeth (Saccoccio) Parrillo, 80, of Cranston, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Cedar Crest Nursing Centre, Cranston. 

She was the beloved wife of Arthur R. Parrillo, Sr. They were married for the past 59 years. Born in Cranston, a daughter of the late Giovanni and Giovanna (DiCrocco) Saccoccio. Mrs. Parrillo was a waitress for various restaurants in Cranston and was also a former City of Cranston crossing guard. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Feast Society Ladies Auxiliary and she enjoyed going on cruises and going to the Casinos. Her favorite pastimes were crocheting, knitting and playing cards.

Besides her beloved husband, she is survived by her loving sons, Arthur R. Parrillo, Jr. and his wife Bernadette of Coventry, Steven A. Parrillo and his wife Diane of North Providence, her cherished grandson, Christopher S. Parrillo and his wife Krystal of North Providence, her dear sisters, Leona DiFusco and Jennie Buonaiuto both of Cranston. She was also the sister of the late Esther Crawford, Salvatore Saccoccio and Theresa DiSegna.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Entombment will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery Mausoleum. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 4-8 pm.
