Obituary: Emma (Aiello) Phillips, 83

Emma (Aiello) Phillips, 83, of Oaklawn Ave., Cranston, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Scalabrini Villa in North Kingstown.  She was the beloved wife of the late Lewis J. Phillips.  Born in Serrastretta, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Erminia (Roperti) Aiello.

Emma worked at Anson Jewelry from 1966 to 1981 and at Swarovski from 1981 to 1996 before retiring.

Known for her talent in the kitchen, Emma would open her home to all, family & friends. She also enjoyed crocheting and would present her afghans as gifts to those closest to her.

She was the devoted mother of Maria Phillips and her wife Denise Mulcahy of Pawtucket, Anne Phillips of Warwick and Teresa Reynolds of Little Compton; loving grandmother of Gregory Rathbun and James Reynolds; and dear sister of the late Angelo Aiello.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday at 10 a.m. , followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in The Church of the Assumption, 591 Potters Ave., Providence at 11 a. m.  Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are THURSDAY MORNING from
