Ernest J. Grilli Jr., 66, "Ernie," 68 of Cranston passed away peacefully December 17, 2013 at Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen A. (Goding) Grilli for 14 years.
Mr & Mrs Grilli were together for 25 years. Born in Providence a son of the late Ernest J. Grilli Sr. and Angela (Saccoccio) Grilli. Ernie owned and operated The Hair Studio on Rolfe Square in Cranston. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School , he attended Providence College, and graduated from the Arthur Angelo School of Hairdressing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Cranston Council, a member of the Cranston Country Club and a communicant of St. Mark's Church, Cranston where he served as an usher.
Besides his loving wife he is survived by his beloved children Melissa Valletta, Michelle Royal and Marisa Grilli, his son-in-law Jim Royal. , step-children Kelly Sylvia, Jennifer Phillips and Greg Phillips. he was the loving grandfather of Nicholas, Abigail, Aidan, Jacob, Parker, Emmersen and Izabella. Brother of Maryann Parks and brother in-law of Barry Parks Sr. Also survived by his best friend and ''Brother" Ennio Mangiocca.
His funeral is Friday at 8:45 a.m. from ''WOODLAWN'' Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, Cranston.
