Obituary: Frances B. "LaLa" Martinelli

Frances B. Martinelli, 96, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Kent Hospital in Warwick.

Frances B. "Lala" Martinelli, 96, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Kent Hospital in Warwick.

She was the beloved wife of the late Alfonso Martinelli. Frances was born in Boston, MA a daughter of the late Angelo and Teresa (Scarozza) Manni. Mrs. Martinelli was an assembler at Colonial Knife Corp. in Providence until her retirement.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Marie Cummings of Cranston, her daughter in-law, Annette Martinelli of Cranston, her cherished grandchildren, Roy Cummings of North Providence, Michael Martinelli of East Providence, Scott Cummings of Cranston, Michelle Lacroix of North Kingstown, Brian Martinelli of Coventry and was the great grandmother of 5, and great- great grandmother of 2. Frances was also the mother of the late Raymond C. Martinelli, grandmother of the late Raymond C. Martinelli, Jr. and sister of the late Ronaldo, Louis, Philip, Peter, Jerry, and Tom Manni and Lidia Panzini.

Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Ave., Cranston. Her graveside service will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Sunday 4-8pm.
