Frank N. Schmitt, 67, of Phenix Avenue, Cranston died on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the R.I. Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of Deborah A. Chandonnait) Schmitt.
Frank was born on November 2, 1946 in Coventry, a son of Irene M. (Doucette) Schmitt of Cranston and the late Frank P. Schmitt. He worked as a software engineer for the EMC Company. Besides his wife and mother, he leaves two daughters; Rebecca L. Tung and Melissa M. Schmitt both of Cranston and a granddaughter, Annika Tung.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 8 am from the Potvin-Quinn Funeral Home, 45 Curson Street, West Warwick with a 9 am Mass of Christian Burial in SS. John & Paul Church, South Main Street, Coventry. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in West Greenwich. Visiting hours are Tuesday 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhatten Beach, California 90266.
