Obituary: Gino N. Marchesi

Gino N. Marchesi, 91, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

Gino N. Marchesi, 91, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of sixty-three years to Ann M. (Landi) Marchesi. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph M. and Santina (Maucieri) Marchesi, Sr. Gino was a self-employed public accountant for over fifty-five years before his retirement. He was a US Air Force veteran serving during WW II as a radio officer. Gino was a graduate of Bryant College. He was a member of the Rhode Island Public Accountants Association. Gino was a former City of Cranston Treasurer and Councilman at large. He was a member of St. Mary’s Feast Society, VFW, American Legion, Tri- City Elks Lodge # 14.

Besides his wife, Gino is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Marzano, Rose Ciaraglia, Lucy, Ann, Joseph, and John Marchesi. 

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Interment will be private. VISITING HOURS Tuesday morning 9-10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hasbro Children’s Hospital, RI Hospital Foundation, PO Box H, Providence, RI 02901.
