Obituary: Gloria R. (Ficocelli) Fitzgerald

Gloria R. (Ficocelli) Fitzgerald, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 9, 2013. 

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Phyllis (Speranza) Ficocelli.  She was married to John J. Fitzgerald for 53 years.  Gloria graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and Bryant College.  Gloria worked in the insurance industry in Rhode Island; VA Hospitals in Providence, R.I. and San Fernando, California and Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank, California.  She was also a long time member of the Bonnet Shores Beach Club in Narragansett, R.I.

Gloria was the mother of Maria A. DeCristoforo and grandmother of Nicole DeCristoforo and Jaclyn DeCristoforo, all of North Kingstown.  She was also the sister of the late John Celli.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston.  Burial will take place in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.  VISITING HOURS will be Friday from 5:00 -8:00 p.m.
