Obituary: James F. Ehrhardt, 97

James F. Ehrhardt, 97,  of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. James was the husband of Catherine (Insana) Ehrhardt for 73 years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William and Emma (Boyd) Ehrhardt. Mr. Ehrhardt was a WWII Navy Veteran and was employed as a press department foreman at Bulova Watch for 25 years, before his retirement.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Maureen Morton and her husband Lee of East Greenwich, and James R. Ehrhardt and his wife Carole of West Warwick. James was the beloved grandfather of 5, great grandfather of 11 and great-great grandfather of 1. He was the brother of the late Evelyn Caroll, and William and Raymond Ehrhardt and the uncle of 2 nieces. 

His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew’s Church, Cranston at 11:00 a.m. VISITING HOURS are Thursday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Burial, with Military Honors, will take place in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Rhode Island, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
