Obituary: John F. McHugh Jr.

John F. McHugh Jr., 83, Of Cranston, passed away on Thursday October 4, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Rose (DeRensis) McHugh and the late Irene (Dessert) McHugh. He was born in Providence, a son of the late John F. McHugh Sr and his wife Mary (Leonard) McHugh. John was a tractor trailer driver for REA Express until his retirement in 1994. He was also an Army Korean War veteran.

Besides his beloved wife he is survived by his loving daughters Kathy Horovitz and her husband Jeffrey of Cranston, Elaine McHugh and her husband Joseph Cafferty of Charlmont, MA, and was also the loving father of the late John J. McHugh. He was the cherished grandfather of Corinne Butler, and brother of the Mary LaPalme of Pawtucket and the late Joseph, Edward, and James McHugh.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Brigid’s Church 1231 Plainfield St, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Monday 4-8pm.
