Kugler, John P. Jr, 79, formerly of Cranston, passed away at the RI Veteran's Home on September 9, 2011. He was born in Philadelphia and was the son of the late John P. and Louise (Springer) Kugler.
Kugler, John P. Jr, 79, formerly of Cranston, passed away at the RI Veteran’s Home on September 9, 2011. He was born in Philadelphia and was the son of the late John P. and Louise (Springer) Kugler.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a salesman for John Hancock and later worked for the RI Veteran’s Hospital. He enjoyed dancing, playing cards and football.
He is survived by his sons Daniel Kugler of Warwick and Kurt Kugler of Chelmsford, Mass.; a daughter Deborah Rocha of Cranston; a sister Barbara Ferchak of Hobe Sound, Fla.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way.

His funeral was held on Tuesday September 13, 2011 at 8:45 a.m. from The Butterfield Chapel, 500 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial with military honors will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in John’s memory may be made to Rhode Island Veteran’s Home, 480 Metacom Avenue, Bristol, RI 02809.
